Named the Cary fire, 81 acres were burned near Highway 371 and Cary Road in the Anza area Wednesday afternoon.
Structures were threatened by the fire and up to 60 homes were evacuated in the afternoon hours. There were no reports of structure damage.
Containment was expected Wednesday evening. At one point, the effort to fight the blaze include air support and 115 firefighters.
