For areas that did receive measurable rainfall, rain fell early Thursday morning across portions of the inland valleys and mountains. Precipitation totals were light, with the largest total being 0.14 inches in East Hemet. A total of 0.11 inches was recorded in northern Lake Elsinore. Remaining WeatherCurrents stations received less than 0.1 inch, while five active WeatherCurrents stations failed to register any measurable precipitation. In Temecula Valley's Wine Country, 0.01 inch was reported (courtesy of Jim Sappington) while an identical total was also reported in Riverside's Canyon Crest neighborhood (courtesy of Jim Ness). Partial clearing occurred inland both Thursday and Friday afternoons, with further clearing closer to the coasts. Shower activity was much more limited to the mountains and foothills Friday. Temperatures dropped into the 40s early Saturday morning across most inland valleys as clearer skies prevailed. Warmer, sunny skies were in store for the weekend, following a mild Spring pattern through at least the middle of next week. No rain is currently in the forecast. Here are the rain totals for the WeatherCurrents network and associates:
